Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc is Hiring a Production Planner Near Levittown, PA

Job Summary
This position will ensure that goods manufactured are produced on time, in a cost-effective way that meets quality and safety specifications and are ready to distribute to customers in a timely fashion. Working cross functionally, this position will work towards improving production and distribution processes while ensuring the production and distribution of products runs smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Liaises with the sales division to determine customer requirements.
  • Determines time to completion for orders and develops production schedule detailing all tasks and when each needs to be completed to meet predicted completion date.
  • Liaises with operations, supply chain, and maintenance to ensure workers, materials, and machinery will be available when required.
  • Monitor’s project progress to ensure the schedule is being followed.
  • Troubleshoots problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions.
  • Organizes project paperwork, including purchase orders, and maintains all production records.
  • Monitor’s production and raw material costs.
  • Collects and assesses data about production performance (i.e. downtime, change over timing).
  • Prepares production process reports and identifies areas to improve efficiency.
  • Monitors and adjusts past due volume daily.
  • Determines inventory needs.
  • Track and resolve inventory issues.
  • Track and report stock levels, lead times, issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
  • Experience working in MS Office, MetalWare, and SAP.
  • Superior problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
  • Strong math and statistics knowledge.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and distribution management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other inventory/supply chain management software.

Education and Experience:
